Conservation – Helping the Fen

Volunteers

Do you love nature and want to play an active role in protecting it whilst also supporting the work of the charity?

The Barnham Broom Fuel Allotment Charity is calling on passionate volunteers to help us preserve and restore the beautiful fen at the heart of our community.

Our fen is not just a stunning natural habitat – it’s home to rare wildlife, unique plants, ponds and is an important part of our village’s heritage. By volunteering, you’ll contribute to vital conservation efforts, ensuring this precious ecosystem thrives for generations to come.

Whether you’re an experienced conservationist or just someone who loves spending time outdoors, we have a role for you. From clearing overgrown vegetation, cutting and raking reed, to maintaining pathways and supporting biodiversity, your time and effort will directly impact the health of the fen.

Join us in making a lasting difference to our environment, connect with like-minded people, and gain hands-on conservation experience. Together, we can protect the natural beauty of Barnham Broom’s fen for years to come.
